Innovative, Web-Based Technology Platform and World Class Client and Participant Service Contribute to WageWorks’ 2,714% Five-Year Revenue Growth
SAN MATEO, CA - November 1, 2007 - WageWorks has been named to Deloitte's prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Silicon Valley, a ranking of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, and life sciences companies in the region by Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services organizations. Rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth over five years from 2002–2006.
WageWorks' CEO Joe Jackson credits the company's innovative Web-based technology platform and commitment to delivering world class client and participant service with the company's 2,714 percent revenue growth from 2002-2006.
"WageWorks is extremely pleased to be recognized by Deloitte for its pioneering, industry-leading products and services that administer tax-advantaged health, wellness, child care, commuting, retirement, and education benefits for more than 100 of America's Fortune 500 employers and millions of their benefits-eligible employees," said Jackson. "Making the Fast 50 list is a true testament to WageWorks' success in meeting and exceeding the high expectations of our clients and participants."
"To rank on Deloitte's Technology Fast 50, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over five years," said Mark Jensen, partner and national director, Venture Capital Services, Deloitte & Touche LLP. "WageWorks has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in Silicon Valley and we applaud their dedication to making their vision a reality."
WageWorks' increase in revenues of 2,714 percent from 2002 to 2006 resulted in a number nine ranking in the Internet, Media & Entertainment and Communication category of the Technology Fast 50 for Silicon Valley. The average increase in revenues among companies who made the Technology Fast 50 was 1,455 percent.
To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2002 and $5,000,000 in 2006, be headquartered in Silicon Valley, and be a company that owns proprietary technology or proprietary intellectual property that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues; or devotes a significant proportion of revenues to the research and development of technology. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not qualify.
