Leadership Team Gary Gensler Gary Gensler brings unmatched credentials in the area of corporate finance and governance. He served in the Department of Treasury from 1997 to 2001, first as Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets and later as Under Secretary for Domestic Finance. He subsequently acted as a Senior Advisor to Senator Paul Sarbanes, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Previously, Gensler spent 18 years with Goldman Sachs, where he was co-head of Finance, responsible for worldwide controller and treasury functions. Gensler is currently a Senior Advisor for the Hillary Clinton for President Exploratory Committee. Gensler holds an MBA and a bachelor of science degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is also the co-author of The Great Mutual Fund Trap, a book presenting common sense investing advice for middle income Americans, published by Random House in 2002. |
