IIAS is the common acronym for the newly developed Inventory Information Approval System and its introduction should be welcome news to anyone who has ever used or even thought of using a health care debit card. IIAS is new for 2008 and enables participating merchants to verify Card purchases right at the check-out counter. And since any retail outlet, except pharmacies and drugstores, must participate* to accept the Card, it practically eliminates the need and hassle of having to submit receipts to verify the transaction after the purchase.
