WageWorks Gives Back to its Communities Across the U.S.

(Thursday, December 19, 2013)

San Mateo, CA (December 19, 2013) - WageWorks, Inc. (NYSE:  WAGE), a leader in administering Consumer-Directed Benefits, is celebrating this holiday with a company-wide effort to support its local communities across the country.  In the spirit of caring for those in need WageWorks employees are donating food, raising money and supporting various charitable drives.

Over the past 12 months, WageWorks employees have raised more than $7,500, collected more than 2,500 items such as school supplies toiletries, blankets and toys, given away almost 2,000 pounds of food and volunteered more than 1,200 hours throughout their communities.  This holiday season, across all eight of its offices, WageWorks is raising funds for Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Through sales of a cookbook featuring 350 recipes from WageWorks employees, the company will donate more than $5,600 to help feed America’s hungry.

“Our mission is to empower everyone to lead healthier, happier and more productive lives. For too many, that can be a challenge,” says Kim Wilford, WageWorks’ General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and Executive Chair of WageWorks In Action, the company’s internal charitable organization. “WageWorks employees take a lot of pride in supporting their communities during the holiday season and throughout the year. We care about people and work to have our actions reflect this each and every day.”

In 2014, WageWorks will continue to keep people at the heart of the company and cultivate the WageWorks in Action goal of giving back to the communities where we operate.
