Earlier this week we welcomed in our San Mateo headquarters Rachel Breuer from Feeding America, the Nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity.
Rachel was here to meet in person with some of our employees and members of the WageWorks in Action committee called “W2iA”, our umbrella organization for our many employee run charitable programs. Most importantly, Rachel was here to accept our donation of $5,361 raised by our employees during this season’s holiday fundraising drive.
Demonstrating the creativity and commitment of our employees, at the core of this season’s drive was a cookbook initiative, our first program to span across all our offices around the country. This employee-led effort resulted in WageWorks employees submitting over 350 recipes to be featured in this book, and supporting its sale as a holiday gift or a token of appreciation, raising thousands of dollars for Feeding America in the process.
The cookbook initiative turned out to be a great accomplishment for WageWorks employees, and demonstrates our support of our local communities. I would like to congratulate our employees for this success and look forward to many wonderful and meaningful programs to come.
