With social media all the rage, we were wondering what HR and benefit professionals are talking about online, what type of content they’re consuming and what information is being shared.
So, we got to work, analyzing 11,420 public tweets from 317 employee benefits professionals in January 2016. Here’s what we found.
#ACA, #Healthcare, and #Insurance take the top spots for popular hashags. Does this ring true for you? There was also significant traffic around ways to bring those costs down, with #HDHP, #HSA and #FSA trending among the group.
It’s great to see HR professionals also leading the charge on important employee-facing initiatives such as wellness, diversity and employee engagement programs. Wellness, in particular, was discussed in a variety of contexts, going beyond workplace wellness to include #financialwellness, #fitness, #mentalhealth and #worklifebalance.
We found that the top three most popular publications among benefits professionals are Forbes, Benefit News and The Huffington Post. Not surprisingly, several other industry publications landed on the Top 25 list, including Benefitspro, SHRM.org and Modern Healthcare. We’d love to know–what are you reading and tweeting about this month?
