How WageWorks Commuter Works

Simply decide how much to contribute to your WageWorks® Commuter account up to the allowed monthly limit. Funds are withdrawn from your paycheck for deposit into your account before taxes are deducted. As soon as funds are available in your account, start using them to pay for qualified commuting expenses. Pause or cancel contributions to your account at any time. There’s no “use it or lose it” as long as you’re enrolled in the program. Use a variety of convenient payment methods associated with your account.

Buy Your Pass

WageWorks purchases your transit pass using funds in your WageWorks Commuter account, and your pass is mailed directly to your home or office each month. Order your passes each month or schedule a recurring order.

Load Your SmartCard

Load money onto transit agency SmartCards (where available) directly from your WageWorks Commuter account.

Use Your WageWorks Commuter Card

Use the convenient WageWorks Commuter Card to pay for transit passes and tickets. You decide how much money to load onto your card each month to cover your monthly commuting costs.
