How the WageWorks Fitness Reimbursement Program Works
The WageWorks® Fitness Reimbursement Program is simple. You just pay your and your spouse’s fitness expenses as you would normally. In most cases you simply file a claim with receipts, and you’re reimbursed for eligible fitness expenses. Depending on your employer’s setup, you may be reimbursed through automatic payroll payments, or you may receive an expense check.
Your employer sets your annual fitness reimbursement limit and determines which expenses are eligible for reimbursement. Typical eligible expenses include gym memberships and fitness classes.
While your employer may not require them for reimbursement, it’s always a good idea to keep receipts for any eligible out-of-pocket expenses you pay.
