How Your WageWorks HIA Works

When you engage in certain healthy activities, your employer contributes money to your WageWorks® HIA. You can use the money in your account to pay and be reimbursed for eligible out-of-pocket healthcare expenses.

Your employer determines the amount of money available in your HIA, the activities that earn contributions to your account—such as completing a health assessment or participating in a wellness, disease, condition management program—and which expenses are eligible for reimbursement.

Unused funds may roll over from year to year, but you should check with your employer on the details of your HIA.
