How an HRA for KEHP Standard CDHP Members Works

Select the Standard Consumer-Driven Health Plan (CDHP) and receive an HRA funded entirely by KEHP. It’s just another way KEHP helps you make your healthcare more affordable.

Use the funds in your HRA toward your annual deductible to reduce your out-of-pocket spending on eligible healthcare expenses, such as prescriptions and coinsurance when you visit your doctor. The full amount of your HRA is available on January 1.

Contribution Amounts

When you select the Standard CDHP, KEHP contributes these amounts to your HRA:

  • $250 for single coverage
  • $500 for couple, parent-plus, and family coverage

If your annual expenses are below $250 for single coverage or below $500 for all other coverage levels, you won’t have to spend any money out of your own pocket. Once you use all your HRA funds, you pay for any additional expenses up to your deductible. After you meet your deductible, co-insurance begins.

The maximum carryover amount each year is $7,500 as long as you select a CDHP the following year.

Using Your Account

With a variety of payment and reimbursement options, your HRA is easy to use.

Pay by Debit Card

Use the WageWorks® Healthcare Card associated with your account to pay for hundreds of eligible healthcare products and services for you, your spouse, and your dependents. It comes to you preloaded with $250 for single coverage or $500 for couple, parent-plus or family coverage level.

The WageWorks Healthcare Card works like a debit card. Just swipe your card at any in-network provider’s office or pharmacy and the eligible expense amount is deducted directly from your account. Nearly 80% of all WageWorks Healthcare Card swipes are automatically processed; however, you may have to submit expense documentation to substantiate a purchase.

Pay Your Provider

Arrange for convenient direct payments to your healthcare provider. Simply access your online WageWorks account and fill out a simple form to have eligible expenses paid directly from your account.

Pay You Back

Arrange for account funds to be transferred to your checking account or a check to be mailed to reimburse you for eligible expenses you've already paid.

You can also use a Healthcare FSA to increase your personal tax savings and help cover your deductible expenses. The Healthcare FSA amount you choose to contribute is added to your HRA amount ($250/$500) and preloaded to your WageWorks Healthcare Card.

Managing Your Account

You can manage your account via a secure website on any computer or mobile device that’s connected to the Internet or via the WageWorks EZ Receipts® mobile app. The WageWorks EZ Receipts app makes managing your account quick, easy, and completely mobile. Once you download the app to your mobile device and log in to your account, you can check your balances, submit claims, view transactions, take photos of receipts, and get account alerts by text or email.
