The WageWorks Commuter card is a stored-valued card that works like a credit card at transit agency ticket vending machines and ticket windows. In this order path you will be using the Commuter Card as a personal Debit card, to purchase your South Shore Line product of your choice.

Step 1: Log onto your account on www.wageworks.com

Step 2: Click on the "Commuter" link. Next, select "Enroll in Commuter" and then "Commuter Transit." Finally select one of the South Shore Line as the service provider.

Step 6: Purchase your South Shore Line pass or tickets

Once your card has been loaded by the 20th of the prior month, you can then purchase the South Shore Line product of your choosing anywhere South Shore Line products are sold. (Excluding 3rd party merchants such as grocery stores, newsstands etc.)

Please be advised that the WageWorks Commuter Card is compatible with the South Shore Line mobile app.

Note: South Shore Line does allow for split transactions at the ticket window with a few important restrictions. Split transactions are also an option at the ticket vending machines (TVMs). If there are not enough funds on your WageWorks Commuter Card to cover the full cost of the pass, you may use a secondary form of payment at these select locations.
