  • What is the San Diego Compass Card?
    San Diego Compass Card is a 'smart card' that is loaded each month with a pass. The customer taps their card upon entering the bus or trolley.
  • Where do I get a San Diego Compass Card?
    To have your card loaded by WageWorks through our corporate pass program, you must order your San Diego Compass Card through WageWorks – when a participant elects the San Diego Compass Card we mail a card to their home and load that same card every month.
  • What type of pass can I have loaded onto my San Diego Compass Card?
    Currently San Diego Compass offers the following passes: Coaster Monthly Pass, Premium Monthly, Sprinter/Breeze Monthly, and Regional Monthly Pass.

    Yes, the WageWorks Commuter Card can be used to purchase a San Diego Compass pass.
  • How do I use my San Diego Compass Card?
    Just tap your card as you enter the bus or trolley. The San Diego Compass Card will be loaded each month with the passes ordered from WageWorks. You must tap your card each time you enter your bus or trolley.
  • Can a participant use an existing San Diego Compass card (not issued by WageWorks) or must they order a new San Diego Compass card when enrolling with WageWorks?
    To have your card loaded by WageWorks through our corporate pass program, you must order your San Diego Compass Card through WageWorks.
  • Does it cost to get a replacement?
    There is a $5 replacement fee.
  • My card doesn’t seem to be working. What can I do?
    If your card stops working, it may be either damaged or defective. You can call our customer service center at 1-877-924-3967 and request a replacement card.
  • I received a new San Diego Compass Card in the mail, when can I start to use it?
    We do not guarantee the cards will be loaded until the 1st of the actual benefit month each month. Since the passes are monthly they are only good for the benefit month elected and can’t be used prior to the 1st of the benefit month.
