Your Employer Determines Your Eligible Expenses

Your employer determines which expenses are eligible for reimbursement with your WageWorks® HIA. Examples of eligible expenses include:

• Chiropractic treatment
• Dental work and orthodontia
• Eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses
• Health plan copayments
• Immunizations
• Mental health counseling
• Prescription medications

Ask your employer for details on which expenses are considered eligible under your specific HIA.

Keep Your Receipts

It's important to keep receipts and other supporting documentation related to your WageWorks HIA expenses and reimbursement requests. The IRS may request itemized receipts to verify select expenses. Credit card receipts, canceled checks, and balance forward statements do not meet the requirements for acceptable documentation.
