Ventra Card

Ventra General Information

Ventra is the name of the new, joint fare system for CTA and Pace which launched system-wide July 1, 2014. Ventra replaces all of CTA & Pace’s old fare media with one card and system that does everything.

Ventra Order Timeline

The timeline of events is as follows:

1. Your WageWorks order is cutoff by your Employer cutoff date.
2. If you’ve selected the WageWorks Commuter Card, your funds will load to your card by the 20th.
3. Once your WageWorks Commuter Card has loaded you can fund your Ventra Card at any time.
4. If you’ve ordered Direct Load your order will be placed and funded to your card by no later than the last day of that month.
5. If your Direct Load order is rejected due to a blocked card, incorrect Transit ID, or the order would cause your balance to exceed the $300 card limit, your credit will be processed by no later than the last day of that month.
