What should I do if my Mail&Ride ticket costs more than $255?
If your ticket costs more than $255, you may want to choose a $255 payment (the pretax monthly limit for transit purchases in 2016). If you choose an amount greater than $255, you will reduce the amount that the Mail&Ride program will need to recover through your current payment mechanism (e.g., your credit card or debit card).
For example, if your ticket costs $455 and you set up a payment for $255 through this option, your current credit card or debit on file with the Mail&Ride program will be charged for any balance due, which in this example is $200.
What happens if I forget to cancel my payment through this program but I cancel my ticket through the Mail&Ride program?
Your payment will be sent to the Mail&Ride program and will be carried forward as a credit on your account which can be used in future months. Payments sent to the Mail&Ride program cannot be refunded. Refund requests must be submitted to MNR. WageWorks will credit any pre-tax funds to your WageWorks account and any post tax funds will be returned in the form of a check
Why would I want to sign-up for the Mail&Ride program?
Many participants like to take advantage of the special discounts available through the Mail&Ride program and like the convenience of having the pass delivered to their home so they don't have to wait in line to purchase their pass at the beginning of each month. Also, the MTA offers discounts to customers participating in this program. Please consult the MTA websites for more information about the discounts available. http://www.mta.info/
Do I need to tell MNR that I am signing up for the MAIL&RIDE EXPRESS PAYMENT program?
No, you do not need to tell MNR that you are signing up for the MAIL&RIDE EXPRESS PAYMENT program. We will contact MNR and send a payment to MNR which will appear on the invoice for the upcoming benefit month.
For Mail&Ride payment customers, who do they contact if a pass is lost?
Mail&Ride payment customers should contact the Mail&Ride program if their monthly pass is not delivered. Longstanding Mail&Ride customers are likely to be familiar with this policy.
How will I know that my Mail&Ride Express Payment has been credited properly?
Your Mail&Ride Express Payment will appear on your invoice. The amount due will have been reduced by the amount of your Mail&Ride Express Payment through this program.
Do I need to change my Mail&Ride payment each month?
No. You can set your payment at a constant amount (e.g., $255). We recommend you set up a payment at a level where you do not need to come back and adjust the payment to match your exact ticket choice. Any remaining balance will continue to be due in the manner that you have set up with the Mail&Ride program, e.g., your personal credit card, debit card, or personal check.
If I need to change my address or ticket - do I contact the Mail&Ride program or contact the administrator of this program?
Mail&Ride Payment customers should contact the Mail&Ride program to change their tickets or address.
However, you may want to change your payment amount if the cost of your ticket has changed. If your payment amount is set at the monthly pretax limit, you can probably leave your payment unchanged.
What portion of the Mail&Ride payment is tax-free?
Up to $255 per month-- the 2016 pretax limit for transit and vanpool expenses.
