Clipper Card Tutorial
Part 1. Get a Clipper Card
You first need to get a Clipper card. You can get a Clipper card several ways. Currently the card is free if you use the order form on the WageWorks website. If you purchase the card directly from Clipper or a Clipper retailer, the card costs $3. (If you are a senior or have qualifying disabilities, you may be eligible for a free discount Clipper card. Visit clippercard.com/discounts for information.

Registration Information
Please note it’s important that you register your card with Clipper. To register your Clipper card, please call Clipper Customer Service at 877-878-8883 or visit clippercard.com, click the "Register a card" link and follow the instructions. If you secured your card from clippercard.com, your card is already registered.
Once you have your Clipper card, you need to select the appropriate method of funding. Please note not all these options may apply to the plan your employer has set up with WageWorks.
Part 2. Fund Your Clipper Card
Ordering via Direct Load Process
Step 1: Log onto your account on www.wageworks.com
Step 2: Click on the "Commuter" link. Next, select "Enroll in Commuter" and then "Commuter Transit." Select "Clipper" as the service provider.

Step 3: Select the Clipper product you need. Please be sure to accurately enter your Clipper card serial number. It’s the 10 digit number on the bottom left corner of the back of the card.


Step 4: Complete your order.

When you complete your order you will be required to sign a terms and conditions box indicating you understand that there is a Clipper administration fee, which WageWorks will collect from you and pay to Clipper.
Timing - Your WageWorks order will be available to be loaded to your card by the 1st of the benefit month.
Your Clipper card balance will not reflect your WageWorks order until you use your card by tagging it to a card reader. You can view your card balance online at clippercard.com or by calling Clipper Customer Service at 877-878-8883.
