Order Timeline
The timeline of events is as follows:
- Your WageWorks order is cutoff by your Employer cutoff date.
- If you’ve selected the WageWorks Mastercard® Prepaid Commuter Card or WageWorks Visa® Prepaid Commuter Card, your funds will load to your card by the 20th
- Once your WageWorks Commuter Card has loaded you can fund your Q-Card at any time.
- If you’ve selected the Direct Load option, your Q-card’s funds will be staged and ready to be loaded to the card no later than the last day of the previous month (e.g. November 30th for the December benefit month). However, the order is usually placed and ready to be loaded on or around the 20th of the previous month (e.g. November 20th for the December benefit month).
- You must “tap” your card to load your funds each month or your card will be placed into “inactive” status. The “inactive” status will prevent future orders from loading. If WageWorks attempts to load a card that is in “inactive” status, it will fail. If this happens, we will credit the election and cancel future orders.
- If your Direct Load order is rejected due to an incorrect serial number, because your serial number is that of a non-WageWorks issued card, because your order has exceeded the stored-value maximum or because your card is listed as “inactive”; your credit will be processed by no later than the last day of that month.
